HARP has Enabled Millions to Qualify
The government recently made adjustments to HARP (Home Affordable Refinance Program). These adjustments enabled millions of people, who did not previously qualify, to be able to refinance their homes through the program. The problem with these new adjustments is that in order to be eligible, a person has to meet several different criteria:

- The mortgage cannot have previously been refinanced under HARP, except if it is a Fannie Mae loan that was refinanced under HARP from March, 2009 to May, 2009. (3 Months?!)
- The current LTV ratio has to exceed 80%.
- The borrower needs be up-to-date on the mortgage when they refinance, with a solid payment history over the past 12 months.
